" High Winds and Rain"
The storm started early Sunday afternoon, it just went on and on. Talk about scary.....I don't know whats worst , watching or listening. Needless to say I was scared. Oreo slept in front of the fireplace and heater. We lost our power at 6pm for about 3 hours. What amazed me is our Kingdome worked like a charm during the storm before and after the power outage. Poor Oreo missed her heater when the power was out so I let her make a bed out of my flannel bathrobe!
Spoiled Baby! As always through it all my husband was calm .
We had some sunshine today! Ralph had to run some errands so I walked to the beach with Oreo. I let her run off the leash for a while. We met some other RVers and their dogs! She had a blast!

"Whalers Rest"
Well, we arrived here safe and sound in southbeach at Whalers Rest Leisuretime Resort in the afternoon on thursday in the rain. We have an ocean view from the bedroom! This is a nice park!
On friday we had lunch at the "Artic Circle" wow, I didn't know they were still around! Yummy!
after lunch we took a drive down south to Waldport and Yachats. Such charming towns with the most beautiful ocean views. We plan on spending more time exploring and taking pictures for the next 3 weeks.
Last night I did not sleep a wink. Ralph was calm , Oreo and I were frightened. We had wind gusts up to 60 miles an hour, pounding thunder and lightening.....pouring down Rain. I think next year we will go south in the fall.

"Last Day at Seaside"
It started raining again. Inspite of the rain we will miss the beauty of the Northern Coast of Oregon . There is so much beauty here. We are looking forward to Newport!

"Sunny and Warm!"
The last two days have been beautiful, sunny and warm. I even had to wear sunglasses!"
We spent alot of time at Cannon Beach walking and taking pictures. Today we spent time on the southern beach of Seaside. It was so beautiful. Oreo wore herself out runnig around on the beach, she is a very nutty dog.
We took a drive on highway 26 and had lunch at a resturaunt called " Camp 18." Our friends Dan and Jenny Shephard went to dinner there with us a few weeks ago, they told us about it!
Going there for lunch was great because we could see and photograph all the logging artifacts and carvings. The resturaunt is a huge 3 level log cabin with just about the best food you will ever taste!
The only damper on this beautiful day was when a stupid nasty bee not only kept buzzing me , it chased me all the way back to our truck with me running and screaming ! As you all know.....
I really hate bugs!

"Onward to Detroit!".
The Seattle Seahawks are in the SuperBowl! Yeah baby!

" Good Luck Seahawks!"
By this time tommorow we will know if they made it into the Superbowl. Just think, they could be the next Superbowl Champions. "Go Seahawks!"
Today was a very pleasant day. The weather has greatly improved since we've been here.
Monday-Wednsday we should have some sunshine. We would like to go back to Cannon Beach and take more Pictures .
Ralph started posting photos on our blog today. He will be posting more soon.

Today was a very pleasant day. We walked Oreo around the resort and took some pictures of the lake. As soon as we get it figured out we will post some of our photos.

"Seaside"
Well, we have been here for two weeks at the Seaside Leisuretime Resort In the beautiful state of Oregon. It was our soggiest trip so far. There have been three rainfree days since we've been here. The first week our friends Dan and Jenny Sheppard were here. We went shopping and out to dinner. IT WAS FUN! Jenny started her own blog ...she gave me the idea to write about our travels. They are down in California now and we miss them.
We will be leaving Seaside on the 26th of January for Whalers Rest in Newport Oregon. We are excited!
Seaside Leisuretime Resort is a beautiful park. We will definitely come back! Before we leave I am hoping for at least one more clear day so that we can take more pictures.
