"Back again in Oregon"
We arrived friday afternoon back at Lakeside in the Oregon Dunes! Our rigg was covered with dead bugs....OOOOOOOOOOickie! Cailfornia was an interesting state to visit. I especially like the northern coast. I would not want to live there. Its to expensive..the drivers are scary, and sky high gas prices.
Nevada was fun and interesting. We want to see Lake Tahoe and revisit Reno next trip. Arizona was beautiful, we want to come back and see the Grand Canyon!
I am lucky to be able to travel and we love being full time Rvers!
Tommorrow we leave for Waldport for a few days ....then on to Seaside!

"On the road again"
Well here we are once again at the KOA In Eureka California. Wow they have done alot of work to this park...I hardley recognized it. The Manager remembered Oreo locking herself in the truck with the motor running...... anyway the park looks great.
After we left Ramona Canyon we headed back to the San Bernadino forest to a huge resort called "Mountain Lakes in Lytle Creek California. What a beautiful Resort...3 swimming pools 2 huge lakes and a pond surrounded by beautiful mountains. We were visited by Ralphs cousin Larry and Shirely Zollinger! What a nice couple and they treated us to a delicious lunch at "Chili's". From there we decided to take highway 1 along the coast from Ventura to Monterrey/Santa cruz. Wow... what a long drive. Beautiful country. We stopped somewhere before Big Sur, no more gas until Carmel. $4.50 a gallon....ouch. That was the scariest drive for me . Looking out the window at all the loose mountainous dirt cliffs as high as the eye could see and wondering if it was going to come down on top of us. Very beautiful country and I am glad we could see it however I dont think we will drag our home thru their again. I can't say enough about our Chevy truck. It has performed awesomely. That truck has been a great investment. We arrived safely at the Santa Cruz Koa for 2 nights. We visited the Fisherman Wharf and Cannery Row.
We had dinner at a Mexican resturaunt called "El Torito. I went there before with my daughter Jamie and grandaughter Stacia. The food was delicous.
We drove thru San Francisco after they detoured us off of highway 1. We went over the Golden Gate bridge and continued onward for the night in Cloverdale. Tommorrow we will leave California and head up to the Oregon Dunes back to Lakeside Oregon.

"88 degrees and Hot and sunny"
Today was a hot one. Tommorrow southern California will have rain, thunder and lighting. The rest of the week will be cooler (thank goodness). The heat is hard on us especially Oreo. Boston Terriers do not do well in the heat.
Today we went into a town called Julian. It's about 15 miles east of Ramona. The drive was beautiful and the town was charming. Lots of shops and goodies! Oreo met a Bassett Hound and a Boxer! I know my husband bought me an easter present in one of those shops! I guess I will have to wait until Sunday!

"San Diego Wildlife Park"
Today we went to the Wildlife park. It was pricey and lots of walking...but it was worth it! What a great place to visit....they even have hot air ballon rides and a wild animal carousel as well as resturaunts and shops! If you want to spend alot of money , you can ride around the park in a tram instead of walking. The weather has been in the 70's here and tomorrow it will be in the 80's!

"Ramona"
Yesterday we arrived at the Western Horizons Ramona Canyon Resort In Ramona California. Such beautiful sunny and warm country and this is a very nice park. My concerns are the Rattlesnakes. One was spotted outside the laundryroom. There are warning signs posted by the lake and hiking trails about these snakes. So we will just walk around the rv park. I am very happy to be able to travel with my husband and puppy and my beautiful new home! I have seen some beautiful country. I was very dissapointed today. We went to Oceanside and found they do not allow dogs on the beach. The beach was not any thing special. So we left.
I found myself missing my family and the state of Washington . I do want to come back next year.. and travel, and I know it rains alot up north...but I miss it.
What do I miss the most ?
1. My family
2. The wide open beaches...you can drive on the beach/walk your dog
3. I don't have to worry about poisinous insects or reptiles
4. You can always find a latte stand/ I miss my lattes!
I will always want to travel and come back and re-visit the places we have been, however, Washington will always have my heart...it is home!

"Big Bear"
Today we visited the town of Big Bear and Big Bear Lake. You have to drive thru the Mountains to get there. We were as high as 8000 ft.....very beautiful country. The lake wasn't a big deal but the town was charming. Great little shops!
We will leave Yucaipa monday morning and head for Ramona Canyon Resort in Ramona, California.

I guess we will have to wait and see!

Today we drove into San Bernardino to look around at Camping World. It has been raining here all afternoon and evening. Tommorrow morning it might snow, It will not last because it will warm up and be sunny the rest of the week. Hooray!
I would like to congratulate my son in law Andrew....He finished school at the Art Institute of Seattle! Congratulations Andrew! We are proud of you!!
We aren't able to use our phones here in the mountains...we have to drive down into
town to get a signal. Everything else is working great!

"Beautiful Mountains"
We arrived safely at "Oak Glen Retreat" in Yucaipa, California. Boy...its a straight climb up the Mountains... elevation 4,000 feet. The beauty of the mountains are incredible and we have a nightime view of the city of Yucaipa thats beautiful. The Park is ok nothing great.. but it has all the standard facilities and a pool! There is a 15-20 degree drop in temperature up here. We aren't in the desert anymore.

"Sunny Days"
Today is our last day At Indian waters. I will miss this park. We had fun here!
Tommorrow we head to Oak Glenn retreat in Yucaipa, California. It not far from here and its close to Los Angeles, Disneyland and Big Bear. We will be there one week. I am not sure if we will have internet because we will be in the mountains. Then we will head to Ramona Canyon resort down by San Diego. We want to see the zoo!
