"Palm Springs"
Yesterday we drove to Palm Springs. What a beautiful drive and the weather was sunny and warm! Yeah! We also shopped for Easter dresses and baskets for our grandaughters Stacia and Natalie! We will mail them off soon.
We met quite a few couples from Washington state. One couple had a 40 foot 2005 prowler with FIVE slides! Wow! They are from Anacortes. Nice people!
I saw my first Black widow spider here in the laundry room... a man smashed it...BLEAH..Yuck!!!! It looked like a regular spider and it wasn't very big. Truthfully the huge cricket and flying insects in Arizona scared me more than that spider.
"Beading"
This morning I took a beading class. I was slow...the beads were teeny tiny but I am getting the hang of it! We all brought our bracelets home to finish... saturday morning I will go back to the Instructor and she will show me how to put on the clasp.
While working on the bracelet at home I got it tangled. Thank goodness my Husband figured out how to undo it. I love my Ralph!

" Indio California"
Here we are at Western Horizons "Indian Waters" Resort in beautiful southern California! I absolutely love it here. This resort is my favorite so far, and it is not on the coast but the desert! We are close to Palm Springs. The weather will be in the mid 70-80's all week. My husband bought me 2 new swim suits! I will use the Pool!!!!!!
All of the sites have concrete pads for your rigg and for your vehicle. They also have grass....Oreo missed the grass so much all she wants to do is roll and lay in it and clinch her monkey! She is a silly puppy!

"Farewell Arizona"
Well its been a while. We left Las Vegas for Salome, Arizona. We have been without
internet for a week. I think Arizona is beautiful and rugged. It is also Very isolated.
We had to travel 60 miles north to Wickenburg to find a grocery store. All they have are small mini marts. We traveled to Phoenix, Quartsite and Yuma. I liked Yuma the best. The Palm trees and cactus are so interesting. I am very glad to have seen Arizona and hope to come back next fall to see the Grand canyon. I do not think I could live here. The heat is very intense and the bugs are HUGE!

"Las Vegas"
We decided to extend our time here. Instead of leaving friday we are staying until monday. It is fabulous here and we have been having fun! There are some Million Dollar Motor Homes in the park. Beautiful riggs!
We have decided to bypass the Grand canyon. it is just too cold (supposed to snow). So we will head south to Arizona and southern California. I would like to see Palm Springs , Seaworld and Disneyland.
Ralph purchased a GPS since mapquest kept giving us the wrong directions. It works great. Its cute to watch Oreo when it talks. Life is good!

"Sick in bed"
I am recovering from stomach flu. It hit me hard on Monday afternoon. I haven't been this sick for a few years. Ralph has been an excellent nurse for his miserable and pathetic wife! He brings me soup, toast ,pudding and jello! Oreo has been with me constantly tring to push her sick mommy out of bed while hogging the covers!
I need to get better so we can go sightseeing to Death Valley.

Queens
Castle
at
Osprey
Point
"Queen of her Castle"
We have seen so many beautiful Motorhomes and 5th wheels. The people down here love our Prowler AX6. Most of them have never seen one before. There are no dealerships. Ralph has given the Grand tour to a couple of people here including the resort activities directors. They LOVED our home. Gee I really do feel like a queen!
Tonight we saw a small private helicopter land at the Winery. This place is so cool. There's always friendly people who want to talk! Alot of dog people. We are keeping an eye on Oreo every second...coyotes have been spotted in the desert and close to the park. Such creepy beasts.

"Symphony's"
Today my Husband took me out for a very exspensive and delicious lunch at The Charleston Peak Winery's resturant "Symphony's." We missed the tour but did a little sampling and had a bottle of wine with our meal. They have the best wine I ever tasted. And reasonably priced. We will take the tour next week and buy some!
I got a kick out of the weather alert of winds and rain. They should spend some time on the Washington and Oregon coast!
Over by the resturant and next to the Rv park there is a landing pad for a helicopter. On the weekends people fly to the winery from Las Vegas. Charleston Peak is the only winery in the state of Nevada which makes it a popular place to for visitors!
We are not on high speed internet so its been difficult to download and post photos. We will keep trying! If you click on archives (far right) the older photos are
still there.

"Very Sunny and Warm"
Today it was 70 degrees outside! I love it here! Our neighbors are all nice. They all have dogs. Oreo met another Boston Terrier from Arizona. There are alot of people in this park from Washington State.
This is the nicest resort. The pool is beautiful. All the sites have large concrete pads surrounded by gravel. The winery is next to the park. We will take a tour some time this week. UMMMMM! They have wine tasting as well as a Resturant.
I Love the palm trees around here. The Mountains are beautiful with sections on the tips dusted with snow. They say it will rain on friday and tuesday. Oh well...
we will have sun all the rest of the week! We will be here for 2 weeks. Then its on to Las Vegas!
